Accessing geo-restricted content
TorGuard VPN is one of the only VPNs that I've tried that can actually bypass streaming VPN and proxy blocks to access geo-restricted content because of the unique streaming IPs that are provided to you, if you sign up to their streaming bundle plan. You can choose two different locations to which you are then given a unique IP for the locations you've chosen. The locations that are available for a streaming IP are;
- USA
- UK
- France
- Germany
- Spain
- Japan
When you've signed up for the streaming bundle, you have to contact TorGuard support to choose what streaming IPs you want. TorGuard support will then apply the streaming IPs to your account. Once you've got your two unique streaming IPs, you can access Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services from that location. As the IPs are unique to you, they are extremely unlikely to get blocked because the streaming service will think they are residential IPs and not shared IPs like most VPN services use.
If you are from the UK, I recommend you get a streaming IP based in the USA and Japan. If you are from the USA, I recommend you get a streaming IP based in the UK and Japan. However, the choice is up to you.
Lastly, TorGuard VPN has a great reputation. Founded in 2012, TorGuard has been around in the VPN market for a while and they are definitely not going away anytime soon. TorGuard keeps zero activity and connection logs and hasn't had any history of activity leaks of their users.
